Gynecology
Northwest Primary & Specialty Care knows that it takes a special doctor to treat women's health issues. Gynecologists strive to provide care with sensitivity, knowledge and compassion.
Our services include:
- Routine annual exams (Pap test, breast exam, cervical exam)
- Evaluation and treatment of abnormal Pap tests
- Adolescent gynecology care

- Management of abnormal vaginal bleeding and post-menopausal bleeding
- Diagnosis and management of polycystic ovarian/metabolic syndrome
Robot-Assisted Minimally Invasive Gynecological Surgery
Many gynecological surgeries are performed using minimally invasive, robotic-assisted techniques. This approach can result in less scarring, less pain and a quicker recovery time than traditional "open" procedures.
Obstetrics
Having a baby is one of the most exciting and rewarding times in a woman's life, and Northwest is dedicated to providing expectant mothers and newborns with quality care. Our maternity services are provided by obstetricians, labor and delivery specialists, nurses and other caring, experienced professionals in a welcoming, comfortable environment.
We provide a range of prenatal to postpartum services, including high-risk pregnancy care and advanced labor and delivery services. Our care extends beyond delivery and includes educational resources for new parents.
Prenatal Care
Our care begins in the early stages of pregnancy, with prenatal checkups and services designed to help you learn about proper nutrition, develop a birth plan with your obstetrician, choose a pediatrician and get prepared for your baby's arrival.
Labor and Delivery
The obstetric providers deliver exclusively at Northwest Medical Center. There, experienced labor and delivery staff are equipped to manage C-section (Cesarean) births and other surgical procedures as needed.
Certified Nurse-Midwifery
A certified nurse midwife, or CNM, is a registered nurse with an advanced degree who is specially trained to care for women during pregnancy, childbirth and the postpartum period. CNMs manage normal (low-risk) pregnancies, labors and deliveries; offer prenatal education; and provide gynecological care. They may also prescribe medications and perform certain medical procedures. CNMs are licensed to provide care independently, but they also work with other healthcare providers – most often OB/GYNs – when needed or requested.
