About
As a board-certified, minimally invasive gynecologic surgeon, I understand how important it is to treat my patients with the utmost care and respect – from the very first consultation to the recovery follow-up appointment.
My areas of knowledge include treatment of chronic pelvic pain, endometriosis resection, adenomyosis, fibroids, abnormal uterine bleeding, pelvic prolapse, urinary incontinence, interstitial cystitis, painful bladder syndrome and menopause.
I love my field because it usually has a happy resolution – we are able to address the issue and restore the patient’s quality of life – especially now, when most gynecological procedures are performed using robotic assisted laparoscopic technology. Patients generally experience less blood loss, less post-operative pain, a quicker recovery time, and generally less disruption of their lives.
I tailor surgical options to my patients’ individual needs, including their desire for future pregnancies.
I believe that good rapport between patient and surgeon is important. I am very direct and honest regarding surgical goals and expectations – and my patients tell me I’m also approachable and lighthearted.
When I’m not at work, I enjoy photography and traveling.
