About
From a young age, I knew that I wanted a career focused on helping others. During medical school on the first day of my OB/GYN rotation, I watched my first cesarean section. That moment left a permanent mark as I witnessed the miracle of life for the first time and saw the transformation as that couple became first time parents. It was at that moment that I realized the field of obstetrics and gynecology was where I belonged. I left the hospital that evening, excited to share my experience about the happiest, most energizing, and most rewarding day of my medical school career.
Working as an OB/GYN has been equally rewarding. It is not only a means to deliver babies or to perform gynecological surgery, but also a way to provide preventative medicine to women of all ages. I enjoy the opportunity to develop doctor-patient relationships by caring for the whole woman across her lifespan.
Areas of interest include a wide variety of both obstetric and gynecological issues such as endometriosis, postmenopausal bleeding, abnormal uterine bleeding, routine prenatal care, and high-risk obstetrics.
My patients would say that I am easy to confide in and rely on. I believe in shared decision-making and take pride in educating my patients so they can make informed decisions about their health. I appreciate the relationships I form with my patients and want them to always see me as an ally. Bringing new life into the world is an incredible honor, and one day, I look forward to delivering the baby of someone who I also delivered.
Outside of work I can be found cooking, baking with my four year old, swimming, watching football, or reading a mystery novel. I have two young children who keep me busy. As a proud University of Arizona alum, my entire family is excited to be back in Tucson. Go Wildcats!
