About
Patrick Chiasson, M.D., is a board-certified, fellowship-trained minimally invasive surgeon. He provides surgical treatment of diseases of the foregut (esophagus and stomach) in the Tucson community. His bariatric surgery practice includes primary (sleeve gastrectomy, gastric bypass, duodenal switch and the intra-gastric balloon) and revision weight loss surgery procedures. His foregut surgical practice addresses LPR, GERD, hiatal hernia, achalasia, gastroparesis and benign and malignant conditions of the esophagus and stomach.
Dr. Chiasson was an early adopter of both new techniques and technology in the surgical treatment of these diseases. He is a member of the American Society for Metabolic and Bariatric Surgery, the American Foregut Society and SAGES. He has numerous publications to his credit that address such issues as minimally invasive surgery techniques and outcomes, health policy, medical ethics and health law.
Outside of the operating room, Dr. Chiasson enjoys golf, skiing and cheering on the Arizona Wildcats.
