About
As a high school student, I volunteered at Los Angeles County Hospital and was assigned to the surgery floor and the hospital’s operating rooms. I found myself feeling envious of the surgeons’ ability to take people on their absolutely worst day and fix them – simply using their intelligence, hands and training. No matter what the problem was, these surgeons could turn it around. I wanted nothing more than to be that person for others.
In medical school, I chose to pursue a career in general surgery because I knew my training would be vast. It would allow me to train in multiple subspecialties and be a surgeon who was prepared to handle whatever came her way.
I provide general surgical care, with experience in trauma and acute care surgery, robotic and minimally invasive surgery, hernia surgery, abdominal surgery and the treatment of both routine and complex surgical conditions. I care for patients with gallbladder disease, colon and intestinal conditions, skin and soft tissue masses and abdominal wall concerns.
I believe surgical care should be grounded not only in technical excellence, but also in empathy, accessibility and trust. I am committed to clear, honest communication and to making sure each patient feels informed, supported and cared for throughout every step of the process.
My patients tell me they appreciate my empathy and accessibility when they have questions or concerns. I try my best to be clear and transparent in my explanations. Being a surgeon is a privilege, and the trust my patients have in my ability to care for them is of utmost importance to me.
Outside of work, I love spending time with my big, extended family. We enjoy do-it-yourself projects around the house and yard; cooking and baking; and playing tennis.
