About
I have always been interested in making sure that the people around me lead healthy lifestyles, which is why I chose to become a physician. I chose Internal Medicine because it allows me to work with all scopes of medical issues in adults. I help patients prevent and treat diseases, while getting to know them personally and seeing them regularly throughout their lives.
I treat adults 18 and older for all of their health concerns, while taking a special interest in diabetes, obesity management, hypertension, COPD, and asthma. I see patients in my outpatient clinic as a primary care provider, but I also care for patients who are in the hospital at Northwest Medical Center Sahuarita.
With every patient, I make the effort to learn all of their medical history first so I can really get to know their health concerns. I believe it is my responsibility as an Internal Medicine physician to make sure my patients genuinely understand their diagnoses and treatment plans. It is the patient’s right to decide which options suit them best, with me being their advocate.
My patients would say that I am thorough and genuinely care about their well-being. I truly enjoy explaining things to patients in a way they understand best. I strive to be available to my patients and offer a relaxed, friendly atmosphere that is never hurried or rushed.
Outside of the office, I enjoy exploring different cultures through trying new restaurants and traveling, and stay active through tennis, swimming, dancing, and hiking. I also enjoy learning new languages, and am fluent in Spanish, and can speak conversational French and Portuguese.
