About
Education
- Master of Science in Nursing, Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ
- Family Nurse Practitioner, Northern Arizona University, Flagstaff, AZ
I’ve always gravitated toward the field of science. In my younger years, I was accepted into the University of Arizona’s Women in Science and Engineering (WISE) program, which aims to increase interest in STEM fields by offering outreach programs to students. My great experience with WISE, my own excellent NP and my encouraging father all set me on the path to becoming a nurse practitioner.
I aim to create a trusting environment through listening and kindness, so my patients feel heard at each visit. I am passionate about preventive medicine, managing acute and chronic conditions, and helping my patients achieve their health goals.
Education is also a priority in my practice. I taught nursing at the university level, and I draw on that experience when discussing treatment options with colleagues and patients. Medicine is a team effort, and I’m so appreciative to be a part of it. I am certified by The American Academy of Nurse Practitioners (AANP).
When I’m not in the clinic, I enjoy camping, fishing, cars, reading, chess, listening to music, cooking and spending time with my dog.
