My philosophy about the best way to provide effective care is to always remember that the patient is the smartest person in the room – I'm just here to help.
Part of this philosophy comes from my grandmother, who taught me much of what she knew about Traditional Chinese Medicine, and part comes from my experiences with caring for patients of every age and stage in life. I'm fascinated by the way all the systems of our bodies communicate and work together to create our overall states of physical, emotional, and mental health.
I was born and raised in San Francisco, earned my undergraduate degree in Hawaii, and completed my residency in a rural area of Michigan that struggled with a drought of medical resources. The combination of these experiences served to make me a well-rounded physician (as well as a trained violinist who loves to surf).
I have a special interest in osteopathic sports medicine, but my range of skills and general in-office procedures are versatile. I practice osteopathic manual medicine, and can offer joint injections, urgent care evaluations and skin excisions/biopsies as well as general wellness exams.
