About
My path to medicine started when, as a high school senior, I took a job as a certified nursing assistant. It just clicked. It was hard, but by the end, I knew that becoming a physician was my calling.
I treat a broad range of conditions that require traditional, laparoscopic or robotic surgery. Many of them involve the abdominal area – for example, gallbladder, hernia, small bowel and colon surgeries.
For me, listening to patients comes first. I approach every conversation with the goal of finding out what they feel they need from me. I meet them where they are, without pushing them into any specific course of action. I’ll often say to a patient, “I will tell you what I can do, and you will tell me what I will do.”
My patients say that I’m personable and that I explain things thoroughly.
When I’m not working, I spend a lot of time chasing my three young children.
