About
Growing up in a family of healthcare providers, I have always wanted to pursue a career in medicine. As I progressed through my primary and secondary education, my interest in the biological sciences further affirmed my decision to become a physician and ultimately led me to specializing in orthopedic spine surgery. The primary goal of a physician is to help their patients by improving their health. Treating musculoskeletal diseases improves a patient’s quality of life through reduction of pain and improvement of function.
In my practice, I focus on spine surgery. I perform a broad range of procedures on the cervical, thoracic and lumbar areas of the spine, including disc replacements, small and large fusions, and procedures to decrease nerve pain. I also have a special interest in the surgical treatment of scoliosis, in both adults and children.
Patients tell me I have a good bedside manner. I believe it is essential to listen to my patients and understand their needs so that I can formulate an effective treatment plan. Indeed, the most gratifying part of my job is being able to make an immediate impact on the quality of life of my patients.
Outside of work, I enjoy spending time with friends, traveling, and watching sports.
