About
I have always been inspired by the body’s complex cardiovascular system. There is always more to know, learn and offer my patients.
In my practice, my philosophy is to treat others as I would want to be treated. I strive to offer my patients excellent care aligned with their belief system. I think patients find me knowledgeable, personable and a good communicator. I am my patients’ biggest advocate.
I treat coronary artery disease, congestive heart failure and cardiac rhythm problems. I offer cardiac rhythm management with cardioversion, transesophageal echo for the evaluation of valvular heart disease, cardiac imaging for risk stratification and the diagnosis of coronary artery disease. I strive to counsel patients in lifestyle modification, including exercise and diet, before moving on to medical options. My experience tells me that when properly educated on risks and benefits of various treatment options, patients feel more confident in their decision and are more likely to maintain their treatment plan.
During my cardiology fellowship, I focused on the clinical treatment of cardiovascular disease in both the outpatient and inpatient settings and take a special interest in the treatment of critically ill cardiac patients. I have published several scholarly articles in the disciplines of congestive heart failure/transplant medicine and cardiac computed tomographic imaging of the heart.
Outside of the office, I enjoy swimming, golf, hiking, family, fishing, travel and have an interest in the sustainability of our environment.
