About
Throughout my career, I have been honored to care for patients during my tenure in the intensive care, post-operative and medical units. These experiences led me to neurology because of its complex nature, and that there are so many new exciting advances on the horizon.
Many neurological diagnoses are life-changing and it’s important for patients to trust me as we navigate their plan of care together. My goal with each patient is to understand them as a unique individual, and learn about them and their concerns. Neurology is unique in that it is not often as clearly understandable and tangible as other specialties. I feel that listening to my patient is an important part of the process in determining their diagnosis and care.
In addition to general neurology, I have a special interest in treating headaches and migraines, dementia, and multiple sclerosis. My goal is to always explain the disease process in a way that my patients clearly understand and feel fully involved in choosing their treatment plan from the options available.
When I’m not with patients, I enjoy swimming, biking and hiking, and spending time with my family.
