About
Family medicine was an easy choice for me. I enjoy getting to know my patients closely and partnering with them for successful long-term health.
By placing their trust in me, patients give me a glimpse into their personal lives - hopes, dreams, families, goals, setbacks. This insight paints a more realistic picture and allows me to better treat my patients, mind, body and soul. Their stories inspire me and it is my hope to inspire healthy lifestyles in them as well.
I believe patients would describe me in many different ways. A sense of humor, compassionate, kind and experienced are all characteristics I believe they find in me; however, the greatest attribute I believe I pass on to patients is empowerment to make their own healthcare decisions. I take the time to answer questions, console, reassure and, most importantly, educate.
I am passionate about caring for senior adults with complex or chronic problems such as diabetes, hypertension, asthma, obesity or behavioral health. I have a special interest in women's health and adolescent care as well. As a bone densitometrist, I have exceptional awareness of osteoporosis and bone health.
I feel blessed to have a career I truly enjoy. Outside of work, I enjoy biking, hiking, skiing, music, art and photography.
