First and foremost, I love the joy of educating people about how to get and stay well, while showing deep respect for patient rights and autonomy. When the patient is an active part of the treatment plan, they'll make better choices.
I am passionate about extrapolating individual wellness to the bigger picture of public health. I believe if we can reach our communities through excellent preventive care, we can prevent chronic disease like diabetes, hypertension, cancer, and heart disease. The health of whole communities depends on it.
My patients tell me they appreciate my approachable and relaxed personality, which helps us work together as a team to reach their health and wellness goals.
When I'm not working, I love spending time with my family and friends. We enjoy unwinding with a good movie or basketball game. I've also written and directed stage plays, and I enjoy public speaking and volunteering.
