About
My fascination with human anatomy and physiology, combined with my desire to help people, meant I always wanted to become a doctor. Choosing my specialty wasn't difficult, because for me, it's the best of both worlds - surgery and oncology.
In my practice as a colorectal surgeon specializing in minimally invasive and robotic surgery, I have the privilege of participating in multidisciplinary care, collaborating with oncologists while also preventing and treating illness in patients.
I am trained and experienced in treating many different conditions, including colorectal cancer; inflammatory bowel disease (such as Crohn's and ulcerative colitis); rectal prolapse; complex anal fissures; hemorrhoids, and fistulas. I also specialize in ostomy care.
I work towards my goal - a good outcome - by treating every patient with respect and helping them make good decisions from a fully-informed place. My patients often tell me they appreciate my kindness, gentleness, and timeliness, as well as my ability to understand the things that are most important to them.
When I'm not with patients, I enjoy going to movies; reading outside; playing with my dog; traveling; skiing; horseback riding; cooking and baking. I also prioritize spending time with my amazing friends and family.
Fluent in Spanish.
