About
I am passionate about helping my patients breathe. It is so rewarding to see patients enjoy their loved ones, hobbies and interests to their fullest potential, and helping them breathe better so they can live a full life motivates me to deliver the best care.
Before I pursued pulmonology and critical care medicine, I was a hospitalist – a physician who cares for patients during their hospital stay only. In my current field, I love being able to build longitudinal relationships outside the hospital as I get to know every patient as a whole person.
It’s important to me to build trust by asking the right questions and listening well – people often know what’s going on with their bodies, and I want to work in a collaborative effort to provide the best care that aligns with patients’ values and goals. Technology and innovation are very important in pulmonology, but so is being personable, accountable, kind and attentive to the needs of the whole person.
In my practice, I perform diverse diagnostic and therapeutic procedures, including minimally-invasive robotic-assisted navigational bronchoscopy; flexible fiberoptic bronchoscopy; endobronchial ultrasound; percutaneous tracheostomy; management of pleural disorders; ventilator management; and many more. Pulmonology is a rapidly growing and innovative field of medicine, and as time goes by, we have more and better options to treat patients affected by COPD, asthma, cancer and many other illnesses.
When I’m not with patients, I’m enjoying getting to know the Tucson community and all the outdoor activities it has to offer, traveling, staying active and enjoying music and art.
