About
As a board-certified urologic surgeon, I provide general urologic care for adults – with fellowship training in laparoscopic and robotic assisted laparoscopic procedures. I loved urology soon after I started my urological rotation in medical school. Urologists get to diagnose and treat urological conditions, often resulting in a resolution or cure of the condition, which is very fulfilling.
My special interests include minimally invasive surgery for kidney, adrenal, and prostate conditions, particularly cancers and urological stones. I find great joy diagnosing and treating urological cancers that affect both men and women, young and old. Not everyone’s urological anatomy is the same, which requires in-depth study and practice on the surgeon’s part in order to personalize cancer care and treatment. It’s incredibly satisfying to perform the surgery that in some patients cures them of their urological cancer or greatly improves their urological condition.
My patients say I’m a good listener and very organized. I try to gather as much information as possible ahead of time so that I’m better prepared to answer questions, discuss concerns, and offer additional testing and treatment options at the time of the first visit.
When I’m not with patients, I enjoy spending time with my husband and two children. My hobbies include mountain biking, scuba diving, and playing the piano.
