About
I’m a board-certified general surgeon with a wide array of experience, training and interests – but I also know what it’s like to be a surgical patient, because when I was 11 years old, I developed a cyst in my stomach the size of a grapefruit. Several doctors missed the problem entirely and couldn’t figure out what was making me so sick – but then, I saw the right doctor, who saved my life. So, I wanted to grow up to be the right doctor.
Today, as that doctor, I know my skills, and I know what I can do for you. My experience is in trauma/acute-care surgery and in open and minimally-invasive (robotic/laparoscopic) general surgery.
My patients tell me I’m honest and straightforward when helping them understand what’s going on inside their bodies – as well as our options for fixing problems. I strive to do what the patient wants, if at all possible, and I make sure the patient understands the risks and the rewards inherent in any given procedure.
When I’m not with patients, I enjoy fishing and billiards – and I plan on learning how to golf.
