About
I've always been someone other people came to for help. That gift, combined with an interest in science and healing, made me decide to become a doctor while I was in high school.
As a general surgeon, I'm able to perform a wide range of traditional, laparoscopic, and robotic procedures, with a special focus on gallbladder, hernia, small bowel and colon surgeries.
I love being a surgeon because it allows me to actually go in and fix a problem using my own hands and skills. Taking pain away is incredibly rewarding – and so is serving as a friendly, empathic advocate for my patients. People want to know they're being cared for by a doctor who will truly listen to what the problem is, and not just treat them out of a textbook.
Outside of work, I love to adventure in the outdoors – hiking, biking, or kayaking. I enjoy practicing yoga and mindfulness, live music, and spending time with my two cats (and hopefully a dog one day.) I played Division II Women's Basketball in college, and enjoy watching and playing a variety of sports when I can. I have future goals of learning to play golf and ski.
