About
Education
- Master of Physician Assistant Studies, University of Nebraska Medical Center, Omaha, NE
My journey into orthopedics started on the field. I played Division II college baseball at the University of Nebraska-Kearney while earning my undergraduate degree in Athletic Training. Living the life of a collegiate athlete gave me a firsthand understanding of how devastating it feels when your body isn't performing the way you want it to, and it sparked my lifelong passion for helping people recover their mobility.
Before transitioning into the surgical side of medicine, I spent years working alongside high-level athletes, including serving as the athletic trainer for the Tri-City Storm USHL hockey team. While managing elite, fast-paced sports injuries was an incredible experience, I found myself drawn to the deeply transformative, hands-on nature of orthopedic surgery and joint replacement. I realized that the same advanced recovery principles used to get competitive athletes back on the ice could completely change the lives of people suffering from chronic joint pain. Whether your goal is to get back on the golf course with your friends, hike a new trail, or simply walk down the stairs without pain, my mission is to help you rebuild your foundation and reclaim your active lifestyle.
I pride myself on being a deeply caring provider. I know that joint pain and limited mobility can impact your independence and your happiness, which is why I treat every patient like family. I take the time to truly listen to your goals, ensuring you feel supported, heard and confident from our very first consultation through your entire post-operative recovery.
I fully believe in practicing what I preach when it comes to staying active. When I’m not in the clinic or the operating room, you can usually find me outdoors—playing golf, baseball or softball, hiking, or heading to the mountains to go snowboarding.
