About
Please note that Dr. Fleming currently serves as an attending physician for our resident physicians in the Graduate Medical Education program. He does not see patients of his own at this time.
I was introduced to healthcare at a young age, having come from a family of physicians. I found Internal Medicine to be intellectually stimulating and enjoyed the idea of taking care of a patient from the start to the finish of any medical issue they may be experiencing.
I have more than 25 years of experience in healthcare and enjoy both helping patients and mentoring trainees. I look forward to helping run the Residency Education Program here at Northwest Healthcare and bringing my practical skill set into a hospital environment. As Northwest Healthcare’s Internal Medicine Residency Program Director, I look forward to mentoring physicians during their final years of medical training. Being a doctor is not just about what you learn in the classroom; it’s also about how you engage with your patients. I enjoy helping these talented physicians build and hone skills that will impact patients for decades.
As an Internal Medicine physician, I treat adults 18 and older for all potential health concerns including high blood pressure, diabetes, high cholesterol, and preventive care. My patients would say that I take my time with them to get to the root cause of their issues, never leaving them feeling rushed. I am a big proponent of honest communication with my patients and making sure they fully understand their treatment plan before they leave my office.
Outside of work, I enjoy being outside, whether it be skiing, hiking, or enjoying watersports. I also have two sons who keep me busy.
